Park Forest Place was developed by Moughan Construction in 2003-04, with the first homes occcupied in 2004. The subdivision is comprised of 73 lots, all of which have been sold by the original developers.
Of course one of the key features of PFP is Bird's Pond, so named for the pond that was created at the back of the farm owned by the Bird family back in the 1930's. The original pond was drained and greatly expanded as the subdivision was being developed.
The Park Forest Place Homeowners Association was created in 2006, and is governed by an Executive Committee (President, Secretary and Treasurer) whose members are elected to one-year terms. Other standing committees have been formed - the Operations Committee, which oversees the pond, common areas, and general condition of the subdivision; the Social Committee, which organizes a series of events for our residents from time to time throughout the year; and the Architectural Committee, which is charged with making certain that our beautiful homes and improvements are maintained at a high level.
An association is only as strong as the people who comprise it. Therefore, we actively encourage all residents to participate in events, serve on committees, and share in making this a community, not merely a collection of houses.
